Publié le par Hamdouni Mohamed

Safran SA is preparing to sell its mobile phone division Sagem Mobiles, according to a Les Echos report. The report cites Sony Ericsson as a potential partner for the unit, stating a deal could be achieved by early summer. Sony Ericsson is the world’s fourth largest handset vendor with 9% market share, whilst Sagem has less than 1% share.

Sagem Mobiles recently said it was taking full control of a mobile phone manufacturing operation in China that was previously a joint venture with Chinese firm NingBo Bird Co. The venture was set up in 2002, called NingBo Bird Sagem.
