Apple launches 16GB iPhone
Apple has launched an upgraded version of its iPhone device, doubling storage capacity to 16GB. The device is available in the US from Apple and AT&T stores for US$499, although there is no word yet on when it will be available in Europe. “There are a lot of users out there for whom there is never enough memory,” said the Head of Global Marketing for the iPhone, Greg Joswiak. The new device joins the US$399 8GB model and follows the phasing out of an initial 4GB version which was introduced at product launch in June last year.
