iPhone vs CECT P168: the clone attack!

Why copying the iPhone or creating an iPhone killer when you can clone it?



The P168 iPhone clone looks to be a decent phone, featuring support for dual SIM cards, 3.5-inch touch-screen with QVGA resolution, 3D surround sound, a 1.3 megapixel camera, Mac OSX startup sound and theme, and a  1800 mAh battery.

The CECT P168 sure looks like the iPhone but the clone won’t feature a widescreen iPod, Visual Voicemail, advance sensors such as the accelerometer, a proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor.

The iPhone will be available late June 2007, Europe in late 2007, and Asia in 2008, in a 4GB model for $499 (US) and an 8GB model for $599 (US), and will work with either a PC or Mac. iPhone will be sold in the US through Apple’s retail and online stores, and through AT&T’s retail and online stores. Several iPhone accessories will also be available in June, including Apple’s new remarkably compact Bluetooth headset.
