France: 2007, year of the music phones
This year 22,2 million mobile phones will be sold in France against 19,9 million last year.
For market analyst 2 phones on 3 sold in 2007 will have musical capacities (mean that they could be used as a real music players). In 2006, 42% of phones were equipped with mp3 player and memory card slot (they were a 15% in 2005, their use wa still quite relative since only 14% of the users state to listen to music with their MP3 telephone, but this proportion reaches 59% for 15-20 years old end-users)
