H.M. Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, inaugurates new headquarters of SAFRAN companies Teuchos and Sagem Sécurité in Casablanca
The new Moroccan site for Teuchos Maroc and Sagem Sécurité Maroc (both subsidiaries of SAFRAN), located in Sidi Maarouf on the outskirts of Casablanca, was officially inaugurated today by His Majesty Mohammed VI, King of Morocco.
During the inauguration ceremony, SAFRAN Senior Executive Vice President Emeric d’Arcimoles emphasized the Group’s confidence in Morocco’s economy, and in its competitive advantages in fostering the growth of the aviation and security industries.
Covering a surface area of 2.5 hectares (about 6 acres), the site is dedicated to aeronautical engineering and the development of security systems, and includes more than 3,500 square meters of floorspace.
The site offers a harmonious blend of traditional Moroccan architecture and modern facilities, giving employees of Teuchos Maroc and Sagem Sécurité Maroc a privileged working environment which is both functional and ergonomically designed. It will continue to develop, offering highly appreciated skills in structural calculations, the design of mechanical parts and the definition of digital security solutions.
“Today we have 240 design engineers and technicians, a figure which could eventually rise to 600,” said Gérard Le Page, Chairman and CEO of Teuchos.
“For Sagem Sécurité, this high-tech platform is one of the keys to our development, since it will support the growth of our business for digital identification solutions in Morocco and the rest of the world,” said Jean-Paul Jainsky, Chairman and CEO of Sagem Sécurité.
