In related news, with China's new labor laws coming into enforcement in 2008, Jonney Shih, CEO of Asustek commented that the company expects to face new challenges. However, the company has not yet finalized its plans to build plants outside of China since the investment will be huge. The company is still evaluating the feasibility of establishing plants in regions such as Mexico, Vietnam and South America, Shih said.
